Maldives Assist received case details from Insurance to arrange emergency evacuation of a French patient who had a very serious diving accident while diving on his livaboard vessel in south Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.

The location was 412KM away from the capital Male' city, where all the good hospitals are located.

Maldives Assist immediately activated the case and swiftly arranged a seaplane to transfer the patient from Gaafu Alif Atoll within 4 hours.

The patient was then stabilized in ADK Hospital until the Air Ambulance arrived after 24 hours.

Maldives Assist arrange ambulance from hospital to MLE Airport with Tarmac access to Air Ambulance.
